About
This blog was being used to chronicle my adventure which started on August 19, 2009 and lasted through November 15, 2009. I left home for Joetsu, Japan (which is in Niigata Prefecture) and taught English in a high school there as well as travelled as much as my feet, and my family’s wallet could handle. I came home full of new experiences, stories to tell, and a deeper appreciation of why I chose the language I did to study and the culture I have loved since a child.
This blog was then used as a way to communicate what I learned there as well as to maybe do some book reviewing. I didn’t do very much with it during this period and it languished by the wayside.
Now I am going to begin this blog anew as a way to chronicle my new adventure in Japan which will start June 2012. I will be living and working in Japan for 12 months. Working for Peppy Kids Club teaching in an English after school program. I will also be talking about the difficulties of maintaining my marriage to my wonderful husband while he is in Montana and I am in Japan. This blog will try and be about Japanese Culture, Food, History, People, and it’s places. It will also be about relationships, tourism, and another other quirks I find while living in Japan.
Hope you enjoy and decided to stay awhile!
